2017 marks the 65th anniversary of Tri-State G&T, a regional electric cooperative which provides electricity to rural electric cooperatives in Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, and New Mexico. In order to commemorate this anniversary, a special anniversary kit was created, featuring a unifying illustration that highlights the unique aspects of the region in which the company operates. The kit included a poster, water bottle, historical photo book and DVD, leather wrapped notebook, and canvas tote.
The 65th wedding anniversary is known as the ‘Sky Blue’ anniversary, and since Tri-State’s brand colors revolve around blues, the materials for the kit were made dark blue and printed with a double hit of blue foil or solid blue ink. Emphasis in the featured illustration was placed on the sky for this same reason. The illustration highlights prominent features of each of the regions we serve: hot air balloons for New Mexico; mountains and foothills for Colorado and Wyoming; vast prairies and farmland for Wyoming and Nebraska; and a single house to denote the rurality of our operations. All of which is intersected by electric transmission lines, denoting Tri-State’s mission to connect and empower people across the rural West.
